Sox win 18-10

What a game that was, the Red Sox scored 18 runs on 23 hits. Welcome to Boston Victor Martinez going 5 for 6 with 4 RBI's. My new favorite player is Josh Reddick he went 2 for 6 with his first career major league home run. Kevin Youkilis went 3 for 4 and 10 for 12 in the series. His OBP for the series was .8666666 that is unbelievable for an entire series to only get out twice. Now for a downer Clay Bucholz looked awful. I knew they should have traded him. He had a 7-0 lead in the bottom of the third and he gave up six runs that inning thank god the Red Sox offense came back and scored seven runs in the third. I am tired of everyone waiting for Smoltz and Bucholz to turn it on it isn't happening and I don't think Red Sox management understands that either. Someone has to tell Theo you have two guys in your rotation who can't get anyone out. I am glad Bucholz had great stuff in Triple A this year but it didn't translate to the major leagues. They need to trade Bucholz and Lowrie this off season while their stock is still somewhat high.
The bullpen was also a bit shaky yesterday Delcarmen gave up two runs and Ramirez gave up one. Too bad for Ortiz being the only starter not able to get a hit but he had been one of the hottest hitters on the team going into yesterday so he should be able to come out of it tomorrow. Lester has been moved out of his regular spot tomorrow so he can pitch against the Yankees who he has dominated this season. The Red Sox management obviously sees that series as being extremely crucial for The Red Sox to win. Matt Garza is going for The Rays he is the guy who shut the Red Sox down in game 7 of the ALCS last season so let's hope they can beat him up a little bit. The Red Sox have really struggled against the Rays this season so I expect them to sweep this mini two game series. This is a crucial week for The Sox to prove that they are here to stay in the pennant race.
Sorry about no blog yesterday didn't have enough time.
